Our Story:

Founding Inspiration

VaceTime Foundation was born out of a deep commitment to giving back to underserved communities. As a landscaping professional, I witnessed firsthand how green spaces could transform not only physical environments but also the spirits of those who live there. Inspired by the power of nature to heal and unite, I envisioned a nonprofit that would combine landscaping with youth empowerment, turning neglected spaces into thriving community sanctuaries.

History

The journey began with a single community garden project in Philadelphia. Collaborating with local youth, we transformed an overgrown lot into a flourishing green space where neighbors could connect, relax, and grow fresh produce. Seeing the pride and sense of ownership in the young participants solidified the vision for VaceTime Foundation.

Over the years, we’ve expanded our efforts to include hands-on workshops, mentoring programs, and partnerships with schools and local organizations. By equipping young people with landscaping skills and environmental knowledge, we help foster future leaders who care deeply about their communities and the planet.

Key Milestones

• 2018: The idea was sparked during the success of a community garden initiative in Philadelphia.

• 2020: Launched our first youth landscaping workshop, teaching basic skills and environmental stewardship.

• 2022: Partnered with local schools to integrate green space projects into their curriculums.

• 2024: Established VaceTime Foundation as an official nonprofit, with a mission to inspire resilience, growth, and environmental stewardship.
